Kristina Gramberg English Article Abstract What do Human Resources experts need to take into consideration when they are working with colleagues from other countries? What impact do cultural differences have on the selection and design of HR measurements and tools? Which of the HR tools have a good cultural fit in which culture? Which characteristics and qualities lend an HR consultant credibility in different countries? What is the range of standard rates for consulting in those countries? What are the potential pitfalls? At the global ITAP conference in Mumbai, India in October 2006, these questions were addressed during interviews with ITAP Alliance HR professionals from six different countries: China, India, South Korea, USA, UK and South Africa. The exchange of ideas elicited a good overview of culturally diverse practices and practical examples from the vast experience of the ITAP consultants.
